The Following Are Provided Free to Gloucestershire Schools
Audio Visual Services have
a long association with Gloucestershire Schools, indeed all our staff have at one time
been employed by the Gloucestershire Education Authority.
The following is a short list of services and advice which is provided completely free of charge and without any commitment to purchase equipment
or services from us, we provide these free because we believe
that it is important that schools have fully updated information when making important
decisions in the IT field.
- We make regular calls to all areas of the Gloucestershire Education Authority area,
giving free advice on all aspects of AudioVisual, Computing and IT equipment and it's uses
in Education and Training.
- Internet advice – We monitor education internet sites to try and help teachers keep
up to date with any useful sites.
- Free Telephone help line – We are available to help or
give advice with technical problems. Our opening hours are 9am to 6pm times chosen with
education in mind to enable teachers to either telephone or visit after school.
- Liaison – We liase constantly with the county IT advisers over equipment supply and
advice. Because we spend a lot of time in schools we are able to pass on help and
information between interested parties.
- Consultation and advice service for schools setting up computer networks, ensuring the
correct infrastructure for the network is specified.
- Links are provided in the Education section of our website, which are updated from
suggestions made by teachers who have found particular sites to be useful to them and who
feel they may be useful to colleagues. This page will be updated as and when new links
are provided by you, the user.
